Virtual Native Lands hosts a variety of casual and special events in the Second Life virtual world.
Virtual Native Lands also participates in events sponsored by many other organizations in virtual worlds, providing a Native American perspective on important issues such as the environment, human rights, education and health services, and contributes to many kinds of arts and entertainment events just for fun.

- Basket Case by Virtual Native Lands in Burning Life 2009
Burning Life is Second Life's virtual version of the famous Burning Man arts festival which takes place in Nevada's Black Rock Desert each year. Tens of thousands of participants camp in the desert while creating and enjoying eclectic artworks of all kinds. Second Life's Burning Life arts festival makes use of virtual worlds' special capabilites to create an immersive experience of impossible-in-real-life artworks available to everyone on the Internet.
Virtual Native Lands' Basket Case celebrates basketry artworks of Native America.
